Developmental Consult
What is a Developmental Consult?
Do you want to make sure your story is going in the right direction before you spend more time on it? Are you feeling stuck and need someone to bounce ideas around with? Would you like to pick a developmental editor’s brain for advice on how to avoid common mistakes in your book but your manuscript isn’t quite ready? Then a developmental consult is for you.
What can I expect?
During your developmental consult, you and Elizabeth will sit down for a 60 minute video call coaching session. You can verbally discuss where your manuscript feels stuck, find solution to stubborn plot holes, and figure out how to make your characters more believable. Prior to the consult, you can send Elizabeth a summary of your story as well as a brief overview of topics you would like to discuss prior to the consult call to help guide the discussion and make sure that you are able to get the most out of your consult. If there are specific scenes you wish for Elizabeth to read prior to the consult, this can be discussed prior to finalizing your booking!
